Don't mess this up, Doctor.
I wasn’t sure if it was right but it was needed. I looked at my tablet, the option [OPEN] was on the screen. It glowed green and was waiting to be pushed. I looked at the victims over the glass barrier, their faces filled with curiosity, concern and confusion. We can see them but the victims can only see themselves. They were not aware of what was about to happen.
I faced my tablet again, the option beaming green. I didn’t have a choice. I pressed the button. The screen flashed red and sirens started to sound. The room on the other side of the glass flashed red. Doors started to open in the room. Canine looking creatures walked into the room, they were docile but didn’t look friendly. The canine looking creatures looked like zombies, walking carcasses of rotting flesh, their bones exposed and reeked of decaying flesh.
One of the victims approached the creatures, his face with a warm smile. His hand moved slowly towards one of the creatures. He gestured the creatures to come closer. The doors closed with a Thud and a ring of a bell was heard.
Instantly, the creatures turned hostile and jumped towards the man, they went rabid. The man screamed as the creatures clawed his skin, ripping his clothes in the process. The other victims only laughed at the man for being clueless and dumb but he wasn't the only one.
His screams and sounds of the laughing crowd only stopped when one of the creatures ripped his neck, killing him and splattering blood onto the creatures and other victims. The victims started to scream and panic everywhere as the creatures ripped open his body, exposing the man’s organs. They ravaged the man’s insides, ripping out his organs of his chest and gnawing his skin. They ate and ate like wild animals.
What was remained of the man was just a bloodied corpse, clothes ripped and flesh gone, his corpse ridden with bite marks and a puddle of blood. After the man, the creatures targeted each of their own meals, splattered blood and fresh organs covered the room.
“I’m sorry, everyone.”, I watched as they were being downed one and then another by the creatures, the screams of pain and pleading cries mixed with ripping flesh filled the room. Over fifty people and I were in the other room, safe from the creatures.
I walked towards the people and sat beside them, sitting at the very front and watching the show of death.
“My, my, Doctor. You’ve outdone yourself haven’t you”, the leader was sat beside me, his chin right up my ear. His breath smelled like pungent blood, disgusting. “We haven’t had this much fun in a while, Doctor”.
