I wasn’t sure if it was right but it was needed. I looked at my tablet, the option [OPEN] was on the screen. It glowed green and was waiting to be pushed. I looked at the victims over the glass barrier, their faces filled with curiosity, concern and confusion. we can see them but the victims can only see themselves. They were not aware of what was about to happen.

I faced my tablet again, the option beaming green. I didn’t have a choice. I pressed the button. The screen flashed red and sirens started to sound. The room on the other side of the glass flashed red. Doors started to open in the room. Canine looking creatures walked into the room, they were docile but didn’t look friendly. The canine looking creatures looked like zombies, walking carcasses of rotting flesh, their bones exposed and reeked of decaying flesh.

One of the victims approached the creatures, his face with a warm smile. His hand moved slowly towards one of the creatures. He gestured the creatures to come closer. The doors closed with a Thud and a ring of a bell was heard.

Instantly, the creatures turned hostile and jumped towards the man, they went rabid. The man screamed as the creatures clawed his skin, ripping his clothes in the process. The other victims only laughed at the man for being clueless and dumb.

His screams and sounds of the laughing crowd only stopped when one of the creatures ripped his neck, killing him and splattering blood onto the creatures and other victims. The victims started to scream and panic everywhere as the creatures ripped open his body, exposing the man’s organs. They ravaged the man’s insides, ripping out his organs of his chest and gnawing his skin. They ate and ate like wild animals.

What was remained of the man was just a bloodied corpse, clothes ripped and flesh gone, his corpse ridden with bite marks and a puddle of blood. After the man, the creatures targeted each of their own meals, splattered blood and fresh organs covered the room.

“I’m sorry, everyone.”. I watched as they were being downed one by one by the creatures, the screams of pain and pleading cries mixed with ripping flesh filled the room. Over fifty people and I were in the other room, safe from the creatures.

I walked towards the people and sat beside them, sitting at the very front and watching the show of death. “My, my, Doctor. You’ve outdone yourself haven’t you”, the leader was sat beside me, his chin right up my ear. His breath smelled like pungent blood, disgusting. “We haven’t had this much fun in a while, Doctor”.

He laughed as more victims were being eaten, my mind was still dazed by the screams, his loud laughing only made it more banging. “Would this be enough for your pleasure, Reaper?”, I looked at him, his eyes beaming at me with that red piercing glow. “Very much so, Doctor.”

The sounds were slowly dimming, groans of agony and dying breaths filled the room. People behind me clapped as more of the victims fell. It was all sickening but I had to play my mask to survive. I clapped with them as I watched the last victim banging on the shut door. He banged the door with all his strength, his bloodied hand leaving red marks on the metal door.

He was saying something while banging the door. “Get me out of here! Get me out-” but before he could finish, the creatures pinned him to the ground. They growled at the victim with their sharp teeth.

The creatures bared their blood covered teeth at the victim. They ripped through the victim’s neck and ripped through his flesh. Blood was splattered everywhere including the glass screen.

“That should be the last person.”, I looked at my tablet screen, showing all the victim’s status as [DEAD]. All of their faces crossed out from their profile pictures. Another sound of a ringing bell was heard, the creatures went back to being docile.

I looked at Reaper, who had a satisfied looking grin on face. He obviously enjoyed this. I looked at the others behind me, they were also grinning with satisfaction.

The creatures were slowly led back to their cages with the remains of the dead victims. They growled as if they were still hungry, they’re teeth gritting like rabid dogs waiting for their once yearly meal.

After the creatures were all lured back into their cages, the lights turned on. The sudden blast of white blinded our eyes for a moment. Some hissed at the light while I covered my eyes and slowly opened them back, adjusting my view to the bright room.

“Alright, gentlemen.”, Reaper stood up from his seat and faced the peers behind him. “The show has now ended, please make your way outside of the room and into the dining table. We shall have a hearty feast to fill our stomachs just like the creatures have tonight!”

He shouted with a gluttonous laugh. The people cheered with ecstasy, clapping their hands with grinning smiles. I held my tablet tightly as I watched the people walk out of the room, chatting away their troubles with their partners and friends.

While they were walking out, the crew behind the screen started collecting the blood and remains, the bloodied guts and organs made me sick. I looked Reaper who stared at the leaving crowd and turned to me with a serious look.

“Don’t mess this up, Doctor.”, he said with a low but strong tone. “Our guests expect the utmost excellence from our manor.”
